Sheep Drive

Hubby signed us up to make the most of his new right to drive sheep across London Bridge toll free... Once an ancient benefit, now a fundraising activity involving a relay of members of the worshipful companies driving their sheep across the bridge in 4 stages before they return down the other side with one of the young farmers as seen here. The sheep in question are northern mules a cross between Swaledale and blue faced Leicester. Largely chosen for their amiability in this alien environment and well trained as they've been stand ins for the geese on corporate days learning how to command the farmer's sheep dogs. Extra of the farmer in his suitable dress for the occaision.
