Grey Heron

A relatively straight forward day today as all the heron were in place waiting (as were the crows)! A couple of skirmishes with the heron when the young male  encroached on the territory used by the females! The young one sorted that out and chased him away. He was waiting at his own end along with the adult male when I went round to feed them (still have to throw food in opposite directions so the older male doesn't chase the younger one off),
This afternoon it was the two males - the young one came right up to within a couple of feet from me so got peace to eat as the adult is not that brave yet.
