Blakesley Hall
The timber-framed house was built in 1590 by Richard Smallbroke, a member of one of the leading merchant families. It is one of the oldest buildings and is a typical example of Tudor architecture. The hall became a museum in 1935 after centuries of use as a private home. The hall was damaged by a bomb in 1941 causing extensive damage and the museum did not open again until 1957. It was last renovated in 2002.
Tomorrow i'm off on a little adventure in the form of hiring out a motorhome with my friend for the week, we are planning to head cornwall way and i've a feeling i'm either going to love or hate it. Hopefully i will keep you posted on blip if i get a signal. Tonight i've been invited to a house party, not a good mix when preparing for a week away, but i may just go for an hour or so.
