Spider Alert!!

A tale about this spider. It has been outside my kitchen window since the end of last week, making its self at home. No problem from me, will keep  flies out of my kitchen ;-)  However this morning, a smaller slimmer spider paid a call and from what I saw my spider was not happy at this intrusion, and there was a bit of a tousle going on in the middle of the web. and it wasn't long before the smaller one made a hasty retreat. 

a bit later this morning, when I looked out the window, there was a parcel of what I think was a fly, neatly packaged, and a smaller package which could very well been the smaller spider having come back, and been defeated. It has been facinating watching the scene :-)


What a difference a day makes. Still windy, but dry, and the sun is making an effort to shine. First job was to prepare meat and veg, and get a beef casserole in the oven. That done a card written and taken around to the Post Office to send first class, to hopefully reach a dear friend, a Chelsea Pensioner whose 90th Birthday is next Wednesday.

After lunch a short Zoom meet with friends as one has Covid, so hopefully we cheered her up.
