Sixty years ago today on 6 October 1962 the Beatles released their debut single "Love Me Do" on EMI's Parlophone label.  Six years later in 1968 the Beatles established the Apple label.  

The first James Bond film, Dr No, starring Sean Connery, was released on the same day as Love Me Do!
