Amongst the clouds
Since arriving, we’ve been enjoying a delicious warmth through hazy skies. It’s an ideal temperature for this week’s soporific venture, and the limited visibility of the surrounding hills has mattered little.
This afternoon, however, it’s almost as if the haze has pulled itself together, and formed into proper clouds, which means we can now actually make out the features of the high hills behind the city.
And so we watch as patches of the hinterland are illuminated by evening rays shining through clouds which spill carelessly over the edges of the city’s ridges, painting ribbons of golden vegetation vivid against the surrounding shadows. A local landscape revealed.
So here’s today’s shot, taken with an ancient lens I’ve resurrected for its size and lightness, if not quality!
Many thanks for your kind comments, hearts and stars for yesterday’s mono harbour shot.
And thanks to Bobsblips for hosting!
