Not had a puncture in any of my last four cars

Last time was a blow out puncture on the M1 in rush hour in my VW Scirocco back in Feb’2015 …luckily it had 'run flat tyres'

No such luck today and no run flats on the Mini

What a dangerous road the M20 leading to the M25 is… if you have to pull over onto the hard shoulder

Such a busy road from the Ports and Eurotunnel and despite the car jacked up onto two wheels, the hazard lights on my car and the GreenFlag van fully lit up …lorries and cars were still passing at high speed just a foot or so away as we struggled to get the car onto a trailer in near darkness

Towed to an M25 service station in the direction of Gatwick to rendezvous with a (brilliant) Wembley based 24 hour tyre company

Not the best time or place to have a car problem - Sunday night west of Maidstone on a busy motorway

Two tyres replaced, car checked over and we were on our way by 10pm

Over the Dartford Crossing, meal at midnight at Cambridge Services

Arrived home in Northumberland just after 5am Monday

Absolutely Shattered… but in one piece
