Powerless

A bit of drama this morning as a tree was blown down in the Village Hall car park bringing down a power cable.
No electricity this morning then for a few hours.
A neighbour called the power-cut line, the workers were out within the hour , a text was sent to our phones telling us what was going on and that it would be fixed by 12.30.
The fault was isolated, the tree was dealt with , the repair done and power back on within ten minutes of the time we were told. 
A bit different from when we moved here forty years ago and the power would go off for days on end with no news of what was happening.
