Trains (2)

We went to the Science Museum today, but unlike last year it was not raining.  It was also very busy, being the weekend between two holidays of Golden Week.  Still we had a good time and after walked over to one of the giant shopping malls for a cup of coffee.

On the way to the mall we walked through Oktoberfest which I mentioned a day or two back, still doing a roaring trade, and the giant Gundam robot still standing guard outside.

One of the highlights of the day was following the Hull City v Cardiff match at the KC Stadium on Twitter.  The result of this match plus the one being played between Watford and Leeds would decide if Hull was to get automatic promotion to the Premiership (sorry to all you non-football people, of which I normally count myself, though when its your home city team and such an important match.......).  Anyway it went to the wire with Hull missing, then giving away, a penalty in the dying minutes leaving the result at Watford the decider.  Luckily Hull's arch rivals Leeds United, for once did the decent thing and won the match, leaving Hull free for promotion.  Well done Hull, and thanks Leeds!

An exciting end to our day here in Tokyo ;-)

Sorry - forgot the photo in all the excitement.  This is a picture of a train passing the ship shaped building which is the Museum of Maritime Science as it approaches the station in which an other train is standing.  Well I thought it made quite a good picture :/
