Vernacular buildings

Most of these houses were built in the 16th and 17th century when Langenberg, a little town in the industrial heartland of Germany, was a centre for silk weaving. So they have seen a lot of change, the most recent one the floods last year which rose half way up the windows and did a lot of damage. A year and a half later you can hardly see any trace of it and people have moved back in.
