across the road

They arrived this morning and started digging up for fibre optic cables. 
This evening the water went off and everyone thought the 2 were connected but apparently it's a burst main a couple of miles away. We were out when the pressure started going down so weren't able to fill a container but as long as it's back before morning we'll manage.
Showery day, with a few sunny intervals. I walked up the road to visit an old lady, dry there but light rain on the way home. A couple of extras of plants I saw on the way back.
Otherwise I did various odd jobs around the house and went for a run with the group in the evening - managed over 4 miles.
