knife skills

Following the recent revelation that my son loves growing things, we went to visit our neighbours allotment.

He was handed a sharp knife (which threw me into a panic and which I controlled well and hopefully hid!) and was then instructed in the art of rhubarb harvesting and weeding between broad bean plants.

He was very proud of himself and says he'll visit again and help do some more weeding... so long as it's not raining and he's not too busy.

He can help make crumble and custard this afternoon.
