Blue Tit ( Cyanistes caeruleus )

It is a while since I blipped a bird and it was far too wet to go looking outside for a photo.  I did manage to take some recycling to the village recycling centre during a "dry spell" and came back with a very wet waterproof.

Blue Tits seem at least round here to have had a very good breeding season, despite not choosing to use any of the nest boxes I provide..  They are extremely widespread being in virtually every tetrad ("km x 2Km square) however they are virtually absent from the Hebrides, Orkney and Shetland.
