Woodwork - week 1

I have always fancied having a go at woodwork so tonight I joined an evening 'leisure class' at Strathclyde University. We joined two pieces of wood together in some kind of a joint using hand tools including a saw, a chisel and a mallet and mine passed the upside down test by not falling apart, quite an achievement I think!
