Global Shocks

This evening saw the first of six events that I have been working on with colleagues at Glasgow University which are designed to learn lessons from the pandemic in order to help Scotland  become more resilient to future global shocks.

Jeane Freeman and I jointly hosted the event  and after a welcome form the Unviersity Principal  Professor Sir Anton Muscatelli there were great contributions from Professor Iain McInnes  and Professor Linda Bauld which were followed by a Q&A.

The surroundings - Glasgow University 's Bute Hall - were pretty special too and I was reminded of the speech I gave there during the 2014 Independence Referendum, which seems a very long time ago !
