Swing with me

What a wonderful day at home....kids jumped into bed at 6:30 which was a bit early but we wrestled and had fun and then went for breakfast...but since that time we have done nothing !

The wedding yesterday was a real joy. Ok, it was a Catholic wedding which I am not used to so there was a lot of standing and sitting but in the middle, there was a lot of beautiful singing. And the church, found on a school compound near the office, was beautiful and just the right size.

And then we went to the reception. Now, when two cultures come together in marriage there is great fun. The enormous hall was nicely filled with a mix of Ugandans and Kenyans. But the main entertainment was shipped in from Kampala and consisted of about six dancers and another four or so guys on the drums. They indeed entertained us with most of that entertainment being from the waist down! Boy, can they move their hips! I believe most of of the Kenyans looked on in utter amazement.

And then there was the dress - the Ugandan women came in with their colourful dresses all decked out with colourful belts and puffy-sleeves. The men had their long robes and jackets. My Kenyans came looking nice but much less 'exotic' [for lack of a better word]

Judy and Aaron, all the best!
