Toadstool

In Dutch, mushroom and toadstool both translate to "padde(n)stoel" [with or without the [u]n[/u], new or old spelling]. So I automatically think toadstool when I see something that might be a mushroom. I must admit I have no idea what is what. Perhaps I should just remember "fungus"?
By the way: did you know that the road signs in the Netherlands for cyclists and strollers are called toadstool? They have the shape of a fungus.
