Chapati

‘I have chapati here’, said Mariam over my office landline, which I then went to collect. A marvellous morning treat which I didn’t expect. Lunch was another gourmet delight with a biryani ordered to the office. The resident office cat was very interested in my food, leaping up the side of my chair and mewling constantly. I threw a bone to placate it.
