A Class 395 Javelin, which entered service in 2009, hurtles westwards this morning with a high speed domestic service to London St Pancras on HS1. In contrast to the Britannia Class, Class 7P (passenger) William Shakespeare locomotive I posted yesterday.

We’ve crossed this bridge many times on our way to Detling for a coffee just missing passing trains.Today was our lucky day.

This afternoon I went to a meeting launching the steering group for Plastic Free Tenterden initiative. I’m representing the KESR as part of our own sustainability initiatives.

After dinner was a musical interlude with Uketok for me and guitar strumming for Susan.
