Seed Head

Lovely catch up with K and then S and A came round to help chop up some logs.  I don’t trust myself with a chainsaw … yet.  Very grateful as now have a couple of piles of stacked wood to keep us going.  Our multi fuel stove is our main form of heating.  Took the dogs out after, then got the house B&B signs down.  Probably our last ever season as the new licensing system coming into force in Scotland makes it untenable to continue, the costs involved are not worth paying out for the amount we do over a year.  It’s being introduced to try and counter the shortage of long term accommodation available but applies to all accommodation that comes under the umbrella of short term lets. Sledge hammer and nuts come to mind.  Suspect the end result here will be more campervans.
