Bloom For A Blip

Today felt very busy for a Sunday. We had to fit in an early run and a food shop before our mate Baz arrived for a visit from Wolvo (Wolverhampton) so we could all go out for Sunday lunch.
It was so great to see him. We've been friends for over 30 years since we met as callow students on the same course at a local college and  managed to keep in touch all these years despite him moving up to the West Midlands for work.
We'd booked a table at The Black Horse Inn at Thurnham - a very characterful 18th Century inn that nestles in the 'foothills' of the North Downs on the Pilgrims Way. It's always packed for Sunday lunch but we had managed to secure the last table available at midday. The service was lovely, the food was absolutely delicious and the company was great. We had a good old chinwag and plenty of laughs. I didn't have to drive either so I got to enjoy a couple to pints too. Marvellous!
Baz had to head up back to Wolvo straight after the meal but we've already made plans to meet up again in the next couple of months.
With all that activity and galivanting I didn't really get round to thinking about a blip - so this is an emergency blip of one of the blooms in a pot outside our back door. It was starting to get dark when I took this shot and the colours just popped out of the gloom.
