Not a red-headed woodpecker
Today, another beautiful one, I picked up my daughter and her pup Cooper and drove to Pete's Pond Preserve. It's a new park, recently opened, and we had never been there before. My goal this morning was to find at least one of the red-headed woodpeckers that calls the park home, according to a friend who leads bird hikes in the area. Unfortunately the WPs weren't home today, but this snake was, and he posed so nicely for me on the small log that I had to blip him.
We both enjoyed the new park, and I'm definitely not giving up on the red-heads! I will be back!
