Life in Sunny Dubai

Elements

(2/10/22)

So glad it is almost the weekend. This week has felt extra long because I worked all day last Sunday.

G took herself to school, and I got on with chores. There are things piling up that niggle away at you and steal your joy. Miriam is briefly in town, so we met up with her in Wafi. She absolutely loves Lebanese food, so we tried Elements. I haven't been there since September last year. The food was delicious, and being a Friday afternoon, we had the place to ourselves!

I dropped Miriam back to her hotel before dropping G off to catch a bus to Sharjah, where she was going to play Chess with her 4get-me-not group but then got asked to be the MC. No chance of backing out then! I picked her up several hours later, having to battle Friday night traffic in Karama that saw me taking over an hour just to get out of it. I was not happy.

I did however, work on my own, listening to some cool British jazz funk (Shakatak) and tidying up my desk, ready for the many more hours I'm going to be at it over the next few months.

I'm glad I have caught up with September's blips!
