"Scum" and a swastika - graffiti on Martello Tower

This is quite unusual for Seaford, though there have been instances of anti Covid vaccination lies scrawled around the area. The Council, who are responsible for this Grade 2 listed building, don't seem to have cleaned it off very well. I don't know what has prompted this. We have a Ukrainian flag flying on the tower. Could it be someone who believes Putin?
