Race Day

Excited seems to be an overused word these days, however it was very exciting to be racing again after a break of 7 years. I tracked down my result of the 10k Great Scottish Run in 2015 and I was delighted to have finished in only 2 minutes more. I can’t help think that if I hadn’t climbed Ben Lomond on Thursday and the Campsies walk yesterday I might have bettered it. 
The blip is Glasgow Green where the race finished. The whole event felt quieter and less exuberant than I remember, but a great atmosphere and friendly runners.
I spent the afternoon on the sofa watching the London Marathon on catch up and snoozing. Now feel re-energised and planning my next race.
