Lime!

Today I had my first ride on one of these Lime bikes which have gradually increased in our area over the past few months. they are electric bikes which can be parked( dumped) anywhere..they do not have to go back to a specific parking station like Santander and other bikes. There is an app..which I have now downloaded and on this you can see exactly where there is an available bike, and also how much charge it has too! My son in law uses them quite often instead of a bus or in central London if trains are cancelled and has now has a monthly subscription which allows him to check where there is a bike then reserve it for 30 minutes…so he can do this while on a train! 
They are very easy to ‘hire’ and today I got him to do a quick intro with me. Once you start pedalling they seem to zoom away so good fun. I will have another go at some point this week . It’s 21p per minute but the price goes down the further you go…all linked to a bank card so you need to log off properly which you do by taking a photo of the bike and where you left it.

My daughters family also play a game in the car of spotting Lime bikes…when they spot one they have  to shout ‘LIME’ loudly in a silly voice. Often there are several parked outside stations and near shops. Even in a 15 minute car. journey they often spot 10!

Rain to start with today but nice and sunny later. Finished getting bedroom ready for decoration so will have to sleep elsewhere for a few days.
