Mahonia in bloom.
A lovely sunny day which I have spent alternating between cutting stuff back in the garden, reading on the sofa and putting clothes through the washing machine. I looked for a blip in the garden where one or two flowers were grimly holding on. Impossible to get a sharp shot as it was pretty windy. The mahonia was the best bet as this is it's time to bloom and it's in a sheltered spot.. A hoverfly and a bee were taking advantage but continually on the move and I saw a ladybird tucked away in a cosy corner I couldn't reach. Good to know the insects were enjoying it though even if I couldn't get a decent shot.
