Castlefield Locks

I will always grumble about social media, but without it I wouldn't have made a lot of new friends, including (crucially!) the Minx. It also put me back in touch with some old friends, including David, whom I first met at school in Hong Kong, when I guess I would have been nine.

He is an amazing singer, and has a career both as a vocal coach and a performer, and tomorrow he is performing at Bridgewater Hall in an Abba tribute show. The Minx and I have seen it before, and it's brilliantly done.

Anyway, tonight he is in Manchester, so the three of us went out for dinner. He was, as ever, excellent company, and we had a lovely evening. (Today's shot is of Castlefield Locks as the Minx and I walked up to meet him.)
