Swanning at the Local Avian Riviera

A couple of swans are visiting at the local lake and they were sitting peacefully on the Avian Riviera late this afternoon until they saw Toto and I and quickly moved on!! Looks so much better in Large!

I’ve had a perfectly peaceful day which has been very nice and the day went far too quickly.  

The poor Willie wagtail not only lost her partner a while back but now the babies are gone as well.  A predatory bird must have got them.  She was looking very stunned and kept searching for them, very sad to see.   
I’m hoping she’ll pal up with another partner and come back for round 2, but thats just wishful thinking.  Things have gotten very quiet around here again!
