In 1992 a large superstore opened near me. One of the conditions of the plan was to create a small nature reserve with woodland walks and ponds. A large wooden sculpture of a ploughman with his heavy horse and plough was placed on the site. Sadly, only a few years later the **!!* vandals struck, and the sculpture was set on fire.

Today the body of the horse lies gently returning to nature. His plough wheel rests on its side forming a natural table nearby. No doubt other bits could be found in the undergrowth, but otherwise little remains of this once impressive wood sculpture bar this image for Derelict Sunday.
