Season

The western fringe of the woods was acting as a sun trap in late afternoon, and this Red Admiral was making the most of it by basking on a tree trunk.  Small Copper and Speckled Wood were also about. As we move into October the last few weeks of the butterfly season are upon us.

Earlier, I spent the day with 14yo and 18yo, including a game of Ticket to Ride Europe. Next weekend it will just be the two of us  as we have finally reached that point where 18yo is off to uni. I’m sure we’ll be seeing him again before too long though.
