Step Back 40 Years

To when RAF Upper Heyford was operational. A tour there today also included some re-enactors who brought a new dimension to the tour there. Me and a friend had a good chat and while the rest of the group went into the old command and control bunker we took pictures outside and one of the re-enactors had a smoke bomb he was itching to discharge, so away we went! Atmospheric, but you don't have long to work and it produced quite a bit of smoke. We did find out afterwards that it was infact a marine distress flare!
