16 today

For her 16th birthday Alice requested a special day with her mum, her aunt and her grandma. She was very pleased with what we came up with and what a great day we have all had.

The four of us arrived at the Shard and had Afternoon Tea at the top (32nd floor!). Fabulous! And what views over London. My blip is Alice as she was presented as a surprise with a Happy Birthday plate. Then a cab to the theatre to see ‘Mamma Mia’ - two of us had seen it before but a long time ago. What a fantastic show - perfect choice for Alice . . . and us. We all loved it.

Meanwhile Gordon and our son-in-law went for breakfast/lunch and then to watch Rugby (Saracens I think). So a perfect day for him too.
