X-Treme Measures

My Dear Princess and Dear Fellow,

So Caro left ridiculously early this morning, leaving me and the cats to our own devices.

For me this meant some light tidying in advance of my guests (see above) who were coming over to watch a movie called, "X".

It's a horror movie set in the 1970's about a bunch of hopefuls wanting to make a porno called, "The Farmer's Daughters" in a rural setting in Texas.

But - look - if you are in a horror movie and you travel to rural Texas you are simply asking for it. As I'm sure you know.

The film went down well and there was a least one "WOOOAAAAAHHH!" moment from the group. I wouldn't say it was one of the best horror movies I've seen but it got us all chatting. Not that this is ever a problem with Jefe, Manda and Mo at the best of times.

More to the point I really appreciated their kindness in coming over to keep me company. I tell people often that I don't really need it. I am - by nature - an introvert* and quite happy in my own company. But it's simply the fact they care that fills my heart and makes me happy.

And that is why today's picture makes me smile. Smile and wave back at them if you like; they are nice people.

* "No you're NOT!" snorted Briar. Who really IS an introvert and will completely clam up when in a group. But I think I'm simply an introvert who has learned to do a great extrovert impression, that's all.
