Anglesey Abbey
It’s been a beautiful autumnal day for.a visit to this NT property near Cambridge mainly to see the house and grounds but also to see the collection of Constable paintings. It is a beautiful old house built about 1600 on the site of an old priory. Set in 98 acres and including a working mill, the house is surrounded by formal gardens, avenues of trees and woodland walks. We managed about five miles around the gardens but didn’t see everything - just too much ground to cover.
We had planned to meet a couple of friends but unfortunately one of them tested positive this morning so we went by ourselves. I hope she will feel better soon.
