Drowned reed

The reserve was very wet this morning, though the sun was largely out, which was pretty.  Most of the reeds are now brown, but a few are still these beautiful colours - and being such an important part of the place, I thought a close up would be fun.

So that was my camera walk..  Much of the rest of the day was spent clearing out various piles of dross from odd corners of the house, where it collects like spiders in autumn!
