Working Dog

Wagin is fairly small town south of Perth but it was a hive of activity today.  We had parked in the very smart 72 hour Recreational Vehicle Free Park area and realised this morning that there was a lot of activity going on around us.  Mauzee was thrilled to discover that there were “Working Dog” trials being held in a area about 100 metres from our van.  It was just delightful to see the dogs in action.  This youngster had just pleased his handler by taking three sheep through one of the races.  I enjoyed watching him follow the other dogs as they performed, with great intensity.   Gibb a farmer from near Margaret River gave us the “good oil” on what they were trying to achieve and we met some really authentic aussies there this morning.  I think we’ll be finding out where there are more trials on around the country areas as it’s just wonderful to watch the dogs in action.
