Fire exit....

During the morning at school the fire alarm sounded for a fire practice and we had to vacate the classroom via the turret staircase. Tricky with that spiral and the triangular steps! I was very impressed with the calm way the youngest children descended. (Spiral staircases are not a favourite of mine.) This is truly an amazing building and each week I am discovering more nooks and crannies full of history!

The older children were back from their days away and have had a great time. They all feel rather grown up having spent nights away from home!
