St Mary's, Alverstoke

Drove to mum's in the sunshine. Had a long funding meeting in the afternoon. By then the heavens had opened. I'd promised to take fish & chips to a friend I hadn't seen for a while. I'd not been to her local chippy before so, due to unavailability of parking, had quite a walk in the rain. When I got there I was met with a sign that said "closed for two weeks"! I was irritated as I'd checked opening hours online earlier and no mention of closures. I then heard the local church bells so, as I didn’t have a blip for today, I walked a little further to the village church.
I did manage to get the fish and chips elsewhere and very nice they were too.
