Dragonfly
A Southern Hawker according to t’internet.
What a beauty. I spotted it in the park in Haworth yesterday and it just hung there while I stroked it. It made my day.
I tried make a rhyming poem but we were going out and I had no time, I may revise it.

Dragonfly
A Southern Hawker
I just looked you up
What a handsome
Beastie you are.
You allowed me to get
up close and personal,
I stroked your wing
and long stripey abdomen.
I’ve never seen you before
but you filled me with joy
and now I’ll never forget
the day you posed for me.
Today we had a Blipmeet with BrambleBlossom and her hubby Dave.
We had a coffee in Shed24 - the railway cafe. It was so lovely to see them again after meeting up in the summer when HarlingDarling and Keibr were over visiting them. Forgot to take a photo!
Yesterday’s poem goes with yesterday’s Blip of the Brontë parsonage.

Brontës
I thought I heard the swishing of gowns
and muted conversations in your parlour.
Outside, Autumn leaves were swirling
and roses were wilting on the arbour
Ghosts of long ago spoke in girlish tones
of plots, of beginnings and of endings,
and the plight of ‘authoresses’ bemoaned
as their manuscripts in offices lay pending
They’d walk around the parlour table
inspired by the bleak, desolate land,
throw ideas to and fro in the air
then sit down with pens in hand.
How shocked were the publishers to find
that the authors were the fairer sex,
their stories have sold by the million
and they earned the greatest respect.
It Frank’s Jam session tonight and I really didn’t feel like going but a friend and her hubby said they were coming and I really wanted to say hello and listen to their songs.
I only stayed till 8.45.
Goodnight Blippers. ;-)X
