Ziggy

This morning, even although it was very, very wet and wearing waterproof trousers and two waterproof jackets I joined about a hundred people who turned out for the unveiling of this rather lovely sculpture of Ziggy. She was a Belgian Malinois and a former Police Dog.

A group of supporters of 'Police Dogs of Scotland' had raised money for this memorial to be placed in Pollok Park. 

The Police Dog Scotland Training Centre is in Pollok Park. I often hear the dogs barking but only very occasionally have I seen one or two working in a fenced off area not far from the cricket club.

I look forward to seeing the statue bathed in autumnal sunshine.
