Today's the day .......................... to travel 

They did say that today's weather would be dire - but we had no choice but to get in the car and drive home from Wales.

And we probably did experience every sort of weather on the way northwards.  Wales was very dull and overcast but dry with little wind.  England was atrocious with lashing rain and gale-force winds - particularly bad when driving on the motorway (see above).  Funnily enough, as soon as we went over the Scottish border at Gretna and headed westwards - the sky miraculously cleared and there was a bright sun in a clear blue sky.

I feel this could have some deep and meaningful explanation? - but quite frankly, I'm just glad to be home .....................
