Two Spots

This one is of interest only to us.

As the bathroom and cloakroom work looks so good we decided to get the final decoration done by a professional.

Looking at the first coat of the colour in the bathroom we didn’t like it at all, completely the wrong tone and far too green. And we had spent ages getting to what we thought was the right choice.

D the decorator suggested I head to B&Q and get an alternative (we had the colour cards out at lunchtime whilst he was elsewhere). So I did.

The paint is produced by mixing colours in store, measurements all computer controlled, and with a machine which mixes the paint by spinning it for two minutes. In this image is the “base colour” to which is added a small dark grey drop and a minute yellow spot prior to the whole being put in the spinner.

If I had done this myself I would probably have just got a tub of Dulux. The wonders of technology.
