Escape to Eden
After the stress of the last 24 hours we were unanimous in our desire to brush the last campsite off our feet and because L had expressed a desire to see the ‘Lost Gardens of Heligan’ I found a site right on the edge of the gardens. It seems we have found the ‘Garden of Eden’ of all campsites in stunning contrast to the last place. This view from our van window, helpful prison guards and space age facilities involving showers that are proximity sensored and so continue to bathe one in hot water until walking out to the drying area when the stream then stops automatically. The site is also a 40 minute walk from Mevagisey - lovely fishing port that I have visited many times and love. We will walk down there tomorrow - rain or not! Lovely night’s sleep without feeling like we might capsize at any moment! Having had fresh caught haddock and chips for lunch and the most amazing deserts this side of Saturn we had simple sausage rolls and cheese and bread. We didn’t take anyone out for dinner Aa!!
