Oh Me, Oh My
Today was sleep “catch up” day. We decided to skip day time performances. We got up late, went out for this glorious breakfast/lunch and came back to take a long nap. Half of the food shown here belongs to hubby. Have you ever seen such a large pancake? It tasted heavenly, covered in strawberry jam, my preference over syrup. The waitress warned us one was enough. I have breakfast for tomorrow as well. Folks in the south are just so cordial. It is honey this and darling that. And they go the extra mile to make your visit special. Hubby was up before me and put away everything we’d set up outside so we are storm safe from our debris. We are in a tropical storm warning that could begin at any time. It is somewhat breezy now and heavy rain is expected very early tomorrow morning. We are waiting for the shuttle to take us to the convention center. We have tickets for the awards show a few blocks from there. Then we will take in a few more night performances around town. I try to get a photo of every group and put their name in the info line of the photo. Otherwise, I’d lose track of who we actually saw. Praying for those terribly affected by Ian so far and in the coming days. The storm has regained hurricane strength as it heads to the Carolinas. We will go to the concrete horse barns across the street if we get a tornado warning. We are on a hill so I do not worry about getting flooded. Take care and thanks for stopping by. We have no tv and little Internet reception so there has been no war news. “One can't be too dangerous, if they like to eat pancakes. Especially with jam on it.” - Tove Jansson
