Best foot forward

This is one part of a three piece sculpture by Paolozzi, which is at Picardy Place outside St Mary's Cathedral. The three pieces comprise this giant foot, a hand and an ankle, symbolising the destruction brought about by war while offering a message of peace, hope and regeneration. The sculptures are a familiar sight now and I must admit that I didn't really know what they symbolised until I looked it up! I walked past them on my way to meet a friend for dinner after work. We had lovely meal at a favourite Thai restaurant.
