Back view - Black Collared Barbet

I have blipped this bird before, but here is a different view.
One can see the strong beak on this bird, used for excavating holes in dead tree trunks for nesting. They have a habit of flying at the window and pecking at it, probably seeing the reflection. But they soon learn too that it's a reminder to me to put out fruit on the bird feeder.
We had some rain in the night which has raised the level in the rain tanks. Luckily they fill up quickly. Our dam levels are at19% which is much better than the 11% some months ago. We still have strict water restrictions. And the load shedding continues...no comment!!
