Tuesday: Dora And Her Soup

K asked me yesterday whether I could come home for lunch today as Dora wanted to make us ‘Caldo’, a Mayan soup.  I’d already heard  how good her soup was - and coming home for lunch is absolutely doable as it’s a 3 minute drive, or 8 minute walk.

The soup was fantastic - loaded with flavour.  It also had cassava and cocoa yams in in, both new to us but really tasty.  Dora was delighted, both that we were happy for her to make it and that we liked it (apparently my predecessor only liked ‘English food’).  She even killed one of her own chickens for it yesterday.
