Uncle Ray has died

Got a call today to tell me Raymond, my late husband’s brother, had died, peacefully with his only son with him.  Raymond is on the right at the back at his late parents’ surprise wedding  anniversary celebration.  Ray and Steve weren’t particularly close.  As an infant Steve had poured a bottle of ink over baby Ray and claimed Ray had done it.  But I was very fond of Ray - incredibly hospitable and totally stoic in his final years.  He’d always wanted to revisit Peterhead in his latter years - his childhood home - and I’d promised to take him.  But events conspired to make this not feasible.
