Amelia's birthday today, she is very happy with her new tablet and has apparently spent all day on it (inset day so no school for the children). I can't believe she is already 11, but I just realised I said that last year when she was 10, so I'll stop moaning about the inevitable passing of time now.

My parents are down for the weekend, we've got swimming lessons and then roast chicken for tea, and all sorts of birthday fun to look forward to this weekend.

And it is the most glorious weather!
